A 19-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after an accident on Folly Hill near Farnham in the early hours of Monday morning (December 23).

The single-vehicle collision happened at around 3.45am on the A287 north of the entrance to Farnham Cricket Club.

Police, ambulance, and fire service rescue crews attended before the man was transported to hospital by air ambulance.

Folly Hill remained closed until 12.20pm on Monday as officers completed their inquiries.

A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: At 3.50am this morning, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended a road traffic collision on Folly Hill, Farnham, involving one vehicle. No other vehicles were involved.”

An Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) helicopter was also dispatched to the scene.

A spokesperson said: “KSS crew members worked with SECAmb (Surrey East Coast Ambulance Service) to help treat the patient, who we then transported by air to a major trauma centre.”

Surrey Police are looking to speak with witnesses to the collision or the events leading up to it, particularly regarding the manner of driving of a black Vauxhall Corsa.
