Surrey Police has released a CCTV image of a man suspected of stealing from cars in north Farnham before escaping on an e-scooter.

Officers were called to an address in the Folly Hill area at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, January 24 after residents saw a man trying to open car door handles.

The man stole various items from one of the vehicles and left the scene on an e-scooter in the direction of Cardwell Road.

The man is described as white, wearing a blue coat, grey jumper, black jogging bottoms and white trainers.

A police spokesman said: "Do you recognise the man pictured in this CCTV image?

"We are appealing for help to identify the man pictured below as we believe he may be able to help with our investigation into attempted motor vehicle theft in Farnham.

"If you can help us identify this individual, or have any information which could assist with our investigation please contact us quoting PR/45240009215.
