POLICE cordoned off a house in Priory Lane, Frensham on Thursday evening following a report of a suspicious package.
The package was contained and a cordon was established at around 5.30pm on May 3 as a precautionary measure while the substance in the package was assessed.
Officers worked closely with colleagues from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to identify the substance and determined that it was non-hazardous.
The road outside the property was closed for a short while to allow access for the emergency services, restricting access to nearby Frensham Little Pond.
Enquiries into the source of the package are on-going.
