Alton Air Cadets held its first annual awards night since Covid at 613 Squadron headquarters in Anstey Park on the evening of June 26.

The presentations were made by Squadron President Air Commodore Lee Turner, the former RAF Odiham station commander.

Squadron Leader Shaun McCarthy said: “When we returned two years ago we had six cadets and I had just taken over as the officer commanding. Now two years on we have 40 cadets and a new squadron president.

“Also present was Officer Commanding Hants and Isle of Wight Wing, Wing Commander Mark Trevena.”
