Contemporary dance enthusiasts will love Lore, which comes to the Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
It takes audiences on a folklore inspired journey into a pagan world of gods, demons and humans, exploring a connection with nature and the energy that flows from the ground through our bodies and back into the earth.
Lore comes from James Wilton Dance, which tours super physical, athletically inspiring works. It has enjoyed 300 performances in 15 countries and reached 100,000 people. The company has also created works for dance companies in Scotland, Switzerland and Germany.
The dance performance is accompanied by a soundtrack from composer, music producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Michal Wojtas, who is influenced by Viking, Celtic and Slavic folk music. The soundtrack is akin to listening to the tales of ancestors told while sat in the woods and hearing ancient stories that bind humanity.
This event includes a post-show chat, and following the performance ticket bookers will be emailed free access to three digital classes from James Wilton Dance.
