People will come together in Bordon this weekend to raise money for charities.

The annual Beacon of Peace Charity Walk returns on Saturday, October 19. It will set off from The Shed at 11am and go through the Hogmoor Inclosure before ending at the starting point.

The walk seeks to support local good causes and foster strong communities. Last year, £20,000 was raised on the day for local charities and the hope is that the same amount or higher will be made this year.

Entry is free but all participants must register and pets are allowed. The route is 5 km but shorter options are available and free refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Every penny raised will go to charity and organisations looking to be considered can sign up online. People can raise money for the cause as groups or on their own and some have set up funding pages.
