A COLLECTION of 55 prehistoric creatures made by Bordon-based company Bricklive using more than two million toy bricks have taken over Marwell Zoo.

From roaring raptors to a seven-metre-long spinosaurus and a huge mosasaur emerging from the water, the new Brickosaurs! Evolution trail is sure to excite families, toy brick and dinosaur enthusiasts alike all summer.

Bricklive International – more commonly known as Bright Bricks – first unveiled its popular Lego dino showcase at the Hampshire zoo in 2019, followed by Supersized! in 2020. Its latest undertaking took more than 9,000 hours to complete, with teams of between two and seven people gluing together one brick at a time.

As well as spotting the Lego dinos around the zoo, visitors can download a free app to follow the educational Brickosaurs! trail with fascinating dino facts and a prehistoric quiz

Sean Mannie, commercial director of Marwell Zoo, said: “The Brickosaurs are back, and they have evolved! We’re certain the show will make Marwell a must-visit family day out in 2022 and will thrill guests, dinosaur and toy brick enthusiasts of all ages.

“Marwell is home to more than 140 exotic and endangered species and over 2,500 animals across 140 acres of beautiful parkland so there’s plenty to see and do.”
