Waverley and Guildford businesses are invited to the second year of a free networking event where they can get advice and guidance about current issues and opportunities faced by the business sector.
Organised by Guildford and Waverley Borough Councils, Business Question Time, which was last held in 2022, takes place on Monday, June 3, at the University of Surrey from 5pm to 7pm.
The event will be hosted and chaired by Professor Amelia Hadfield, associate vice-president for external engagement in the department of politics at the University of Surrey. The keynote speech will be given by leading economist Vicky Pryce, chief economic adviser at the centre for economics and business research, who will set the scene on the national and regional economic forecast for businesses.
A panel of business leaders from across Waverley and Guildford representing a range of sectors will answer questions from the audience.
Panellists include Hogs Back Brewery managing director Rupert Thompson, Inspiration Space founder Liana Fricker, The Gameplan Consultancy founder Steve Cuss, Mesh Energy director Doug Johnson, University for the Creative Arts director of games and creative technologies Professor Sophy Smith, and Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council joint-strategic director Dawn Hudd.
Participants are invited to send questions in advance by emailing [email protected]
There will be a networking opportunity with drinks and canapes after the question-and-answer session. Attendees will receive an information pack designed to help businesses tackle the current challenges.
