Pupils at Camelsdale Primary School said hola to an armada of Spanish exchange pupils.
The school welcomed 24 students and three staff from its link school in Burgos for a five day visit. Activities included experiencing lessons in an English school, staying with host families, a visit to Haslemere Museum and local shops, a sightseeing trip to London, forest school, a sausage and chips supper complete with an eco-fashion show and a whole school skipping workshop.
Headteacher Sarah Palmer said: “This year, our link with Jueces de Castilla School in Burgos is twenty years old! Our special friendship between the two schools has enabled many children from both schools to experience school and home life in a different country and gives real purpose to learning Spanish and English. This year’s exchange was as worthwhile and memorable as ever! We now look forward to several of our year 6 pupils returning to Burgos in May.”
