The Blunter Brothers, a classic funk, soul and Motown band, are playing at Farnham Maltings on Saturday (March 18).
The band cover all the hits from artists such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Curtis Mayfield, The Average White Band, E,W&F, Bruno Mars and many more.
Originally from Sussex, The Blunter Brothers formed way back in 1988 and have become established as one of the premiere ‘Revue’ acts in the country.
The band were headhunted to play the Hammersmith Apollo for comedian Stephen K Amos’ nationwide tour finale and is the only band to have been asked to play at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year after-show party. In fact, they were asked back and did it two years in a row.
Dave Baxter, manager of the Blunter Brothers, said: “The band are so happy to be invited and really looking forward to playing at this great venue.
“We know there are lots of funky people in and around Farnham and this is a great chance to see an old school band playing classic funk, soul and Motown the way it used to be.”
The Blunter Brothers will take to the Maltings’ Great Hall stage from 8pm. Tickets (£18) at https://farnhammaltings.com/events/blunter-brothers
