Haslemere’s annual carol service, hosted by Haslemere Town Council on Thursday, December 12, drew a crowd of nearly 500 people to the stunning grounds of Haslemere Educational Museum. The evening was a celebration of the town’s community spirit, with performances, music, and carol singing.

The event, led by Haslemere Town Crier Christian Ashdown, featured carol renditions by the Haslemere Town Band. The Harmonix Choir also took to the stage, while the Haslemere Thespians provided a sneak preview of this year’s pantomime – Oh no they didn’t! – Oh yes they did!
Refreshments for the evening were kindly provided by the Haslemere Chamber of Trade, who also raised a whopping £950 for the Mayor’s charities. A highlight of the evening was the appearance of Father Christmas, who took a short break from his busy Christmas duties to make sure the children in attendance all had enough sweets.
Town Mayor, Oli Leach, said: "Haslemere Town Council is grateful to the town hall officers who put a great deal of effort into organising the evening and to everyone who joined us in making the event such a success. The incredible turnout once again demonstrates the brilliant community spirit of our residents. We wish everyone a happy and restful Christmas break."
