THE second challenge in months for the job of leader of East Hampshire District Council was set to cause uproar at today's annual meeting.
The third item on the agenda was a motion by two former leaders of East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) – Ferris Cowper (Grayshott) and David Parkinson (East Meon) "to remove from office the current leader of the council, Ken Moon, and to elect to the office of leader of the council Ferris Cowper".
The two Tories have been in league with each other for months to remove the Conservative Mr Moon from the top political job at the council after failing in a bid to oust him from office in February.
On that occasion Mr Moon survived a vote of no confidence by the skin of his teeth to hang on to his job.
