Eight-year-old Ava Scales managed to beat a world record on Record Setters.

Ava broke the record for the most front and back walkover combinations with 11 in twenty seconds. The record was last set by Jaden Cook from Pennsylvania in the United States on July 25th in 2016. 

Ava goes to St Marys C of E Primary School in Chiddingfold, where she and her friends practice gymnastics together.

She is also self taught by watching gymnastic videos online and from some of her school friends. They have taught her how to do different moves such as handstands, round offs and the front and back walkovers. 

Last year the girls spent a week trying to hold the splits during school break times and they also teach the younger children at school more simple moves if they show an interest.
