Essential resurfacing will start at a busy A3 roundabout near Liss in early February.

The work will be on the Ham Barn Roundabout and the approaching slip roads at West Liss, taking place between the Longmoor and Liss Interchanges and include renewing the high-friction surfacing and road markings.

There will be overnight closures between the interchanges, 9pm to 6am, from February 10 to March 15. Two weekend closures will also be needed, northbound, starting at 9pm on February 21 to 6am on February 24, and southbound, 9pm February 28 to 6am March 3.

Traffic management will be arranged in phases to try to limit disruption as much as possible but make sure to plan ahead and allow plenty of extra time for your journeys.

The closure phases are:

Phase one

  • Northbound carriageway closure between Liss Interchange and Ham Barn Roundabout, with local access only between Sheet Link/Midhurst Junction and Liss Interchange.
  • For night closures on February 10 to February 14, February 17 to February 19, March 10 to March 11.
  • For weekend closure - February 21 to February 24.

Phase two

  • Northbound carriageway closure between Ham Barn Roundabout and Longmoor Interchange, with local access only between Liss Interchange and Ham Barn Roundabout.
  • For night closures 14 February and 20 February.

Phase 3

  • Southbound carriageway closure between Longmoor Interchange and Ham Barn Roundabout, with local access only between Liphook Interchange and Longmoor Interchange.
  • For night closures February 24 to February 26, March 12 to March 13
  • For weekend closure February 28 to March 3.

Phase 4

  • Southbound carriageway closure between Ham Barn Roundabout and Liss Interchange, with local access only between Liphook Interchange and Ham Barn Roundabout.
  • For night closure on February 27.

Phase 5

  • Northbound and Southbound Carriageway closures between Liss Interchange to Longmoor Interchange including B3006 approaches North and South for overnight closures March 3 to March 7.
  • Local access only between Sheet Link/Midhurst Junction and Liss Interchange, and between Liphook Interchange and Longmoor Interchange.

Main diversion

  • Liphook Interchange, B2131, B2070, A272, Sheet Interchange and vice versa.
