A school in Bordon has grade expectations after putting its trust in a growing educational family.

Bordon Infant School has followed in the footsteps of its Junior counterparts, Weyford Nursery and Primary and Oakmoor by joining the University of Chichester Academy Trust (UNICAT).

The timing is especially exciting with more than £5million being invested into building improvements on the shared site.

Work on the new state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities should be completed by spring, securing a three-form entry for both schools.

The team-up with the UNICAT family of academies marks a “significant milestone” in the school’s journey and opens up “new development opportunities” for staff and pupils.

“Joining the UNICAT is a wonderful opportunity for Bordon Infant School,” said its headteacher, Matt Greenhalgh.

He added: “It allows us to build on the great work already happening at our school, while opening doors to new resources and expertise that will benefit our children, families and staff alike.

“We are excited to work closely with other schools in the trust, sharing knowledge and best practices to continually improve the experience for our pupils.”

The UNICAT is thrilled to welcome Bordon Infant School into the family of 15 schools and academies according to its CEO, Jennese Alozie.

She said: “This is a time of real growth for the school, and we look forward to supporting its continued success.

“By working together, we can further build on its strong foundation and create even more opportunities for both pupils and staff to flourish.”
