The MP for Farnham & Bordon has praised the organisers of a prostate cancer screening event in Whitehill – while urging other men to get themselves tested.
Greg Stafford was happy to get the needle last Saturday as he attended a PSA Blood Test Event organised by Cancer Testing South in the village hall.
Mr Stafford and other attendees had a free blood screening test during the volunteer-run event.
Doctors recommended that every man over 50, or over 40 if there is a family history, knows their PSA as one in eight will get prostate cancer.
Greg said: “Early prostate cancer can often have no symptoms, so spot checks like this available directly in our community are key to getting ahead of potential risks.
“We need accessible spaces in our towns and villages to offer these events, and I offer my full support to the organisation with finding future venues across my constituency."
