Farnham’s Repair Café is just one step away from reaching a milestone.
On Saturday, October 12 from 10am to 12:30pm, the Café will celebrate its 100th event at the Spire Church
More than 5,000 visitors have attended the events and repairs made by the volunteers. Saving an estimated £219,281 along with tonnes of items that can be repaired and diverted away from landfills.
Over the past few months, the Repair Café has gone from strength to strength after hosting the annual Repair Café Conference at UCA. In which Mayor Brodie Mauluka came to attend to see the variety of interesting and innovative work.
The Repair Café and its volunteers were also invited to Loseley Park to present themselves and their work in their bid for The King’s Award for Voluntary Service. Tice’s Meadow Bird group were also in attendance in their bid to get an award.
