The Environment Agency has issued a orange flood warning in the Wey catchment area following a night of heavy rainfall.
Flood alerts for the River Wey have warned people living near the Upper River Wey including Alton, Farnham, Bordon, Frensham, Tilford, Godalming, Guildford and Peasmarsh that there is a flooding risk.
A flood alert has also been issued by the agency for those living near the River Blackwater in areas such as Badshot Lea, Aldershot, Farnborough, Camberley, Sandhurst, Eversley, Bramshill, Swallowfield and Cove.
Further rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours river levels are expected to remain high over the next few days and the agency is monitoring the situation closely.
Property flooding is not expected but low-lying land and roads are susceptible to flooding today. The environment agency advises to not use the low-lying footpaths by the river.
