Haslemere Food Bank brought Christmas magic to more than 150 families this year. The Haslemere Bookshop, Sportslocker, Sass & Spirit, and Past and Present played key roles in the gift drive, contributing more than £3,250. Alongside gifts for children and loved ones, families received festive food packs filled with treats.

A heartfelt thank you went to customers of Oliver’s and Hemingways of Haslemere, who donated nearly 1,000 hot drinks for food bank clients over the past year.

In Liphook, food donations remain down by 75 per cent, but this didn’t stop the Liphook community donating in force this Christmas. More than 32 volunteers were needed to pack and deliver Christmas packages to 76 households.

One Liphook food bank user said: “Thank you so much for the presents, food, and treats. I can’t tell you how much that has helped.”

Approaching its fifth anniversary, the Liphook Food Bank has supported 8,535 families. With prices soaring, financial contributions and donations are needed more than ever.
