Top young local rider Betty Wills was one of the first cyclists to try the new BMX pump track at Anstey Park in Alton.

Eight-year-old Betty, pictured right, is ranked number one in the south in her female age group, and is the English and British number two. Betty and her six-year-old brother Ned Wills, pictured left, race for Bournemouth BMX Club and attend Four Marks School.

Betty and Ned went for a spin over the humps and bumps on December 18, three days after GT Factory international mountain bike racer Wyn Masters had the first test ride.

Constructor Velosolutions will do line painting and landscaping to finish the track when the weather warms up.
