Everyone Active will host free open days at leisure centres across Waverley on Saturday, July 1 to celebrate its first day in charge of the centres.
Haslemere, Cranleigh, Farnham and Godalming leisure centres are each hosting open days, inviting the local community to come along and join in the fun.
A whole host of special guests are being lined up to attend across the four sites, including Tik Tok famous freestyle footballers Jamie Knight, Rebaz Mohammed, Ben Nuttall and Steve Gray.
Star names from swimming and athletics are soon to be announced.
David Love, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “Saturday, July 1 will mark the first day these four fantastic leisure facilities across Waverley open to the public under Everyone Active management.
“What better way to celebrate than by offering an invitation for the community to visit their local leisure centre for a day of fun filled family activities – all for free. Watch this space for more news on the special guests who will be joining us on the day!”
Everyone Active recently announced it has been awarded a leisure contract with Waverley Borough Council for ten years.
The partnership will allow Everyone Active to build on the current leisure offering, with a focus on health and wellbeing, and fitness whilst it supports the council's vision for leisure across Waverley by providing attractive facilities, available to the whole community.
Councillor Kika Mirylees, Waverley's portfolio holder for health, wellbeing, and leisure, said: “This is a great chance for residents to go and see the range of leisure opportunities that are available to them in the borough.
"Keeping fit and active is so important at any age and I do hope lots of people take advantage of this day of free events, take part and enjoy the fun.”
More information will be made available soon on how to book onto the free activities at each centre. To find out more visit: www.everyoneactive.com/promotion/your-new-waverley/
