An exhibition will be held at a Dockenfield church as part of October Craft Month.

'The Art and Craft of our Parish 2024’ will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd on October 19 and 20 from 10am to 4pm. It is a community project, involving artists and makers from the parish of Frensham and Dockenfield. With a special display from St Mary’s Infant School in Frensham.

The school project received funding from the South Street Trust for parent-artists Ziad and Fiona Kadri. Who worked on an idea inspired by prayer leaves and created ceramic leaves which the children decorated.

The children had free rein to be explorative with colour and design, resulting in a vibrant installation reflecting their energy and imagination.

For the first time, Dockenfield wildlife photographers have produced a 2025 calendar up for grabs. All sales will raise funds for the church’s upkeep and artists and makers will be present.
