TWINS Jake and Josh Picken have got off to a flying start as sports stars of the future.

The Year 6 pupils of Grayswood Primary School near Haslemere not only won through to the Quad Kids 2019 Surrey athletics finals, but also both got gold English Schools Athletics Association (ESAA) medals at the county championships at Guildford Spectrum.

Jake came top overall with 289 points in the sprint, jump, run and throw challenges, with Jake in overall fourth position with 279 points.
