A cheque for almost £10,000 has been handed over to Haslemere’s Hunter Centre by the Farnham Lions after its bumper 2023 Charity Golf Day at Hindhead Golf Club.
Lions president Phil Alexander presented the £9,760 sum to Elaine Clement, manager of the Hunter Centre, the purpose of which is to improve the quality of life for those living with all forms of dementia.
Charity Golf Day chairman Carl Taylor said: “We’re delighted to have raised so much for the Hunter Centre. It does a fantastic job helping those with dementia as well as those who provide care.
“Many thanks to all the players who took part on the day, to Hindhead Golf Club and to Howard Taylor Associates for their sponsorship of the event”.

Hindhead Golf Club’s captains also raised £21,825 for the Hunter Centre in 2023.
