More than 20 people came along to a recent ‘tea and talk’ about Winter Trees at Haslemere Museum.
The talk was given by natural history expert Dr June Chatfield and everyone had the chance to see a selection of winter twigs and learn how the buds of various trees differ.
Dr Chatfield has given many interesting talks at the museum with recent subjects including Ferns and Shells. Last year she led a fascinating tour of the Museum grounds looking at species of moss.
Kay Topping, Education Officer at the Museum said: “June is such a font of knowledge and knows so much about so many things - this wasn't even her speciality!”
The seasonal theme continues as June will give another tea and talk on Tuesday, March 18, about Spring Flowers.
Anyone can join and you can book in advance on the ‘What’s On’ page of Haslemere Museum’s website.
