East Hampshire District Council have set aside more than £250,000 for revamping facilities at Woodlands Hall recreation ground and they want to hear from you about what they should spend it on.
The current play area and recreational ground at Woodlands Community Hall in Headley Down is more than 19 years old and long overdue for refurbishment.
Councillor Adeel Shah, EHDC, said: “Improving and modernising the current outdated park and play equipment will massively enhance this already popular community facility and will allow residents and visitors to enjoy the area.
“We want to make sure the refurbishment meets the needs of the local community and we asking for residents’ views to ensure that any new provision is suitable, fun, and long lasting.”
Proposed improvements, due in late 2024, include:
- A new multi-use games area
- An all-weather sports court
- A new teen shelter
- More benches and seating
- New football posts
- Current play area replaced with all new equipment
- An outdoor gym
- An outdoor table tennis table
