FOUNDED more than 100 years ago, Holy Cross Hospital is wearing a century very well.
It has become the tradition that every year, staff gather for a celebration of learning and development.
Everybody who has achieved qualifications or completed a course of learning throughout the year receives a prize and certificate.
At this year’s event, more than 30 awards were presented.
The audience heard from colleagues such as Adelle, who started out in care by working with older people and patients with dementia.
At the presentation, Christopher Hinton, the interim chief executive, described how “Holy Cross is an organisation with a memory and that is driven by values”.
He thanked the Sisters who own the hospital for their determination and for making it possible for Holy Cross to continue to look after patients with severe neuro disabilities.
He also thanked colleagues and congratulated everybody who had completed a course of study in the past year.
