THE sun shone as more than 100 primary school pupils raced across the sports fields and woodlands at The Royal Junior School.
Pupils in Years 2, 3 and 4 from eight primary schools competed in The Royal Junior School’s cross-country event.
Each year group competed both as and also as teams.
Neighbouring primaries and preps Beacon Hill, Camelsdale, Grayshott and St Ives took part, alongside St Hilary’s in Godalming and Dunannie in Petersfield.
Royal Junior head of PE and sport Sonia Cartwright said: “Well done to all the children who took part.
“They really tried hard and gave their best.
“Thank you to all the staff and to our Year 5 pupils acting as marshals, who helped make the afternoon such a success.
“A special thank you to Aurelia in Year 5, who ran in three consecutive races as the lead.”
