Haslemere’s Christmas window competition is in full swing, with retailers across the town getting in the festive spirit.
Haslemere station is a prominent newcomer to the competition but last year’s winner Oliver’s is not giving up its title easily. There are many other strong contenders with 15 shop windows and 14 schools.
Like last year, all windows will be in the three judged competitions (most festive, most stylish, most complementary to the retailer’s business), but only retailer-dressed windows will be eligible for the community vote competition.

“The standard of window dressing seems a lot higher than in previous years,” said head judge, Rev. Chris Bessant. “Our retailers and the railway station team have gone to town this year, which along with the fine efforts of our local schools will make judging a tough exercise.”
Winners in all four categories will receive a locally sourced hamper, as will a randomly drawn participant in the community vote for best retail window.
You have until December 18 to vote either by scanning the QR code displayed in the windows or by going to www.Haslemereparish.Org/windows
