The eyes of the movie industry will be on Farnham next week as work by some of the county’s most talented young filmmakers will be shown at the UCA.
The opening credits to the third annual Young Surrey Film Festival will roll next Thursday (September 19) with 16 short films being shown over two evenings.
The festival launched in 2022 is a celebration of emerging filmmakers based in the UK and around the world while the event team is made-up of UCA Farnham students who are passionate about the art of film.
The pieces on show will have something for everyone as they span a spectrum of genres from romantic comedy and thrilling meta-drama.
The festival will run from 6.10pm to 8pm next Thursday and Friday with eight short films being shown on both evenings at the UCA Farnham Campus.
The screenings will be followed by a question and answer session with some of the filmmakers involved with plenty of opportunities to mingle and network after the main event.
The screenings will be hosted in the large lecture theatre at UCA with access via the sculpture park walkway beside the front entrance.
Tickets are free and are available on the door or online through www.eventbrite.co.uk by looking for Young Surrey Film Festival. All audiences are welcome although some films may not be suitable for younger viewers.
