The weather might have taken a dip recently but the Petersfield Community Choir brightened up the gloom with a Sounds of Summer concert.

Their unaccompanied four-part harmony struck a chord with the audience in St Peter’s Church as many joined in with the encore of the Beach Boys classic Barbara Ann.

The choir is renowned for giving young local musicians a spotlight and this show was no exception with TPS student Alana Canton getting a guest spot.

The concert also raised a few notes for Home-Start Butser as a retiring collection in aid of the 25-year-old charity generated close to  £1,000.
