Waverley Borough Council is seeking views as part of a review of polling districts and polling places in the borough.

The review is a legal process for considering the location and suitability of polling districts and polling places for voters in future elections.

Residents and interested groups are encouraged to have their say in where polling stations are located, and to help ensure polling stations are accessible to all, including those with a disability.

The consultation started on Monday and will continue until Monday, November 13.

Recommendations arising from the review will be reported to the council's Standards and General Purposes Committee on Wednesday, November 29 and full council on Tuesday, December 12.

The list of approved polling districts and polling places will be published in January 2024 and will be used for elections from May 2024 onwards.

Robin Taylor, Waverley’s Electoral Registration Officer, said:  “It is important that polling districts and polling places are in the most appropriate place for voters to be able to access, and I would urge residents and interested parties, particularly those with a disability or an interest in accessibility to take part and let us have your views.”
