Petersfield Town Council will host its very first ‘Carrr Boot’ sale with a climate twist on the Avenue Playing Fields next month.

The event, from 8am to midday on Saturday, October 1, has been timed to coincide with the UK’s Big Green Week.

The additional Rs in Carrr Boot represent the message ‘Reduce’, ‘Reuse’, ‘Recycle’.

Entry is free for visitors.

PeCAN will be running an information café on-site, and Petersfield WI will be on hand to offer light refreshments.

Petersfield Town Council climate officer Michelle Snow said it offered an ideal opportunity to pass on unwanted items, “to save money but also to save stuff ending up in landfill”.

Selling pitches (cars only) are £5. There will also be a limited number of free-of-charge ‘free giving’ pitches.  Call 01730 264182 to register.
