AN urgent appeal has been made for a replacement Grayshott Scouts Group committee chairman to step forward at the AGM tomorrow (Friday).

The current chairman is standing down and the group is in danger of closing unless a successor can be found.

Only a minimal time commitment is needed, but it cannot be run effectively without the executive committee.

Parents keen for their children to join the Scouts, Cubs or Beavers in September, residents interested in becoming volunteers or finding out more about scouting activities are all welcome at the AGM, at the Scout Hut, in Whitmore Vale Road, at 8pm.
