HINDHEAD driving instructor Jeremy Neaves volunteered to give six Haslemere Explorer Scouts a dream first lesson at Dunsfold Park’s Top Gear track.
“We had a fantastic morning,” he said. “All six scouts were driving by the end of their 30-minute slot.
“Bear Grylls was talking as head of the Scouting movement about how he was encouraging people with specific skills to help deepen experiences. I’m a driving coach, and thought, what if I give my time?
“I’m there most weekends, the thing that is fantastic is that it enables the U17 student to get to grips with driving and handling a car in a safe and controlled environment on a private track.
“ At the end the students are more than competent to drive their parents around the track.”
