A quiet village near Farnham has been rocked following a stabbing that left a woman in hospital and armed officers being deployed.
The victim suffered serious injuries to her arm following the incident at Peakfield in Frensham around 2.30pm on Monday.
Surrey Police have confirmed a man in his 30s from the same village was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
The investigation is ongoing but witnesses or anyone with information is urged to call 101 quoting PR/ SYP-20240805-0363.
Police have also confirmed that an Essex man has been charged with three offences following a late-night altercation in a Farnham restaurant on Thursday, July 18.
Omer Saygili, 34, from Grays, is due to appear before Guildford Magistrates Court on August 29 having been charged with wounding with intent, violent disorder and possession of class B controlled drug.
Five other people who were arrested in connection with the incident on Lion & Lamb Yard have been released on bail as enquiries continue.
