SHOCKED to hear there are 29 million children in the world who can’t go to school because they can’t afford to buy shoes, Grayswood Primary School pupils rallied to support an aid-giving UK charity.
Friend of Grayswood School Stella Baynes said: “Children from Grayswood’s Citizenship Club have been busy with their Sal’s Shoes campaign again this year, collecting more than 150 pairs of their outgrown but not outworn shoes for distribution both around the UK and the rest of the world.”
Sal’s Shoes is the third social action fundraiser this year by Years 5 and 6, who donated £111 to homeless charity Crisis.
