Lion and Lamb Yard will soon welcome two new shops as a former salon is getting the chop.

The former Ruby Mane unit is being split with male and female hairdressers HAIR EVO and clothing store Cleverly Wrapped about to open up.

Ruby Mane hairdressers suddenly closed in 2024, to the shock of staff and customers.

The closure left many people scrambling to book more appointments ahead of key events, including school proms.

Ollie Nobbs will be opening his fifth salon in Farnham with HAIR EVO.

Mr Nobbs has a long history of cutting hair in the town. He used to have a shop opposite Elphicks on West Street called Blow-heads, and he has taken that sign to the new salon in Lion and Lamb Yard.

“We are very excited to be opening in the Lion and Lamb Yard,” said Mr Nobbs, who also founded Head Case Barbers in Farnham.

“I have always wanted to own a salon in the Lion and Lamb Yard ever since I had opened Head Case barbers in 2008.”

Cleverly Wrapped is a clothing boutique which is “focussed hard on curating a good mix of unusual and interesting pieces at a competitive price point for an independent boutique.”

Owner Harriet Cleverly, said the boutique is due to open around April 22.

She said: “Cleverly Wrapped will complement what is already in Farnham by providing clothing that is fashionable and pieces that will last in your wardrobe for years to come.

“I also hear that Farnham is really buzzing at the moment with lots of exciting new businesses opening shops there and I would like to be part of that.”

Ms Cleverly already runs a successful website for online clothing orders, as well as other boutique stores in Stockbridge in the Test Valley, and Sherborne in Dorset.
