A Ukrainian choir joined the Christmas celebration at All Saints Church in Steep.

Two Colours shared in the festive spirit with the local community by performing four songs, bringing an atmosphere of peace, love and unity to the event.

The choir is committed to showing their appreciation to the community by participating in events and enriching the cultural life of the region with the beauty of Ukrainian music.

Olena Ivanchuk, lead of the choir, said: “Our mission is to harmonise hearts by uniting Ukrainians in England through the power of song. Over the past two years, we have performed more than 60 concerts, sharing the strength of the Ukrainian spirit and expressing gratitude to British communities for their kindness.”

She also highlighted the joy of performing during the festive season for locals, who have welcomed Ukrainians with open hearts and homes during challenging times.

Looking ahead, the choir is preparing for a special fundraising concert scheduled for March 6 at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth.

The performance will offer more than just a night of harmonious melodies. It will be an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural resilience of Ukraine and the incredible journeys the courageous women have overcome. Featuring traditional Ukrainian songs, military music, modern pieces and English songs.
