Badshot Lea earned their first point of the season with a 0-0 draw at home to South Park (Reigate) in the Isthmian League South Central Division.

Both sides created chances in a competitive encounter at Westfield Lane.

Baggies keeper Harry Cawdron was called into action early on, but the hosts also posed a potent threat and nearly took the lead when Toby Raggett’s shot was saved by South Park keeper Danny Bracken at his near post.

The Baggies continued to press after the break and Raggett’s shot was well held by Bracken.

Raggett had a good chance in stoppage time, but he blasted his shot from the edge of the box over the bar.

Neither side were able to break the deadlock and the points were shared.

Next up for the Baggies is a trip to Uxbridge in the Isthmian League South Central Division on Saturday, September 14 (3pm kick-off).
