Eight girls from South Farnham School represented Chelsea at the Premier League Primary Stars football tournament – and won the under-11 girls’ national title.

The tournament began at the start of 2023, when 1,700 teams entered.

The finals saw the last remaining 20 teams battling it out to become the national champions at the home stadium of Championship outfit Leeds United, Elland Road.

The girls progressed by finishing top of their group, beating Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Brentford, before beating Manchester United 1-0 in the semi-finals.

The South Farnham girls faced Brighton in the final, and won 1-0 to be crowned national winners.
