The undefeated Sovereign B hotshot produced breaks of 54 and 37 in a 3-1 win for the runaway leaders against Liss RBL A.
It was a good week for Grayshott B and Sovereign C as they eased their relegation worries with 3-1 and 4-0 wins against Fleet Broadway and Liss RBL B. The latter are now a point above second-bottom Shottermill B, with Ian Etherington seeing off Chris Harrison in a final-frame win for Comrades A which included a 33 break.
There were two 20-plus breaks in Division Two and they came in the same match. Paul Ferguson (25) and Nick Nield (21) gave Liss RBL C’s promotion hopes a boost with a 3-1 win against Hindhead RBL A while Bourne B and Farnham Cons B fought out a 2-2 draw. Leaders Hindhead RBL B continued their march for the title with a 3-1 win at Rowledge B, while Mark Kyprianou was the hero in the Traco derby as his 48-28 final-frame victory secured a 3-1 win for the B side against their relegation-threatened clubmates.
In Division Three Ben Coombes hit a break of 28 for second-placed Bourne A in a draw against Alton Cons F.
They’re six points behind leaders Alton Cons A, who were held to a draw by Bordon B. Frensham D beat Bordon A, while Sovereign D slightly lost ground on the top three with a 3-1 home defeat to Traco F.
