A bumper crop of car boots is expected in Wood Lane, Bramdean, again this August making it the 36th car boot sale in this Hampshire village in 38 years.
Only two were disrupted in all that time, one because of Covid and another to monsoon rainfall.
Held as a fundraiser for family support charity Home-Start Winchester, it has become something of an institution.
It will be an early start again with gates opening to the public at 8am on August 13 but sellers are welcome to arrive from 7.15am to set up their stalls.
“Over the last two years we experienced first a deluge of rain in 2021 and then boiling heat in 2022 but still eager booters and buyers made their way to us,” said event organiser and Home-Start trustee Chrissie Barlow.
“As always, we are very grateful for the support of Hellards estate agents in helping us to stage this event.”
Refreshments, disabled parking and a portaloo will be available on site and seller fees are £10 per car, £15 per van or trailer or double pitch (cash only), while buyers will give a donation at the gate to enter.
