Haslemere Methodist Church is a vibrant social hub, bustling all week with visitors to the Open Door Cafe, the Haslemere food bank, free monthly community meals, and now it is home to a drop-in social community group called CONNECT.

The group opened its doors on January 22 and has already welcomed many new faces to enjoy puzzles, crafts and games with plenty of free refreshments and cake. 

Liza Caie, manager of the Open Door Cafe, said: “If you are looking for a warm welcome and the opportunity to meet new friends then why not pop along to the church and say hello!”

CONNECT runs on Mondays and Thursdays from 2 to 4pm in the cafe.

 The launch of the new group was made possible by a grant from the local Shottermill Great War Memorial Trust.
