Farnham's wellbeing garden charity space2grow has received funding from Farnham Town Council for its recent autumn term ‘Talking Teens’ parenting courses.
Led by parenting course facilitators Kelley Taylor and Kate Newton, the accredited Family Links courses allow parents the time and space to reflect on their relationship with their teens, offering practical advice on how to help them navigate this stage of their child’s development.
“The course provides great insights into the physical emotional changes teens go through during these years, especially in regards to the brain,” said Kate.
“When provided with a little more understanding this can help parents face some of the challenges adolescents go through with new confidence.
“It helps them maintain a close and supportive relationship.”
A recent parent commented; “100 per cent would recommend. It’s massively empowering to learn everyone else is also going through things with their children. I feel more equipped to face the teenage years!”
Space2Grow has thanked the town council for its continued support.
