The sky is the limit as a crane signals progress on a Farnham charity’s new £17.5 million hospice.

Looming over the town and what can be seen from as far as Farnham Park is a large tower crane. It is fixed to the centre of what will be the courtyard of the new Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

The crane allows the builders to bring the large materials they need on-site and to install the steel framework, concrete stairs and floor slabs of the building.

In the last few months, the ground has been levelled, underground drainage placed and foundations laid. The builders will then start constructing the walls and the roof structures will be built, followed by doors and windows.

The charity commented: “Whilst fundraising continues, work on your new Hospice is progressing well! The Hospice location can be pinpointed easily now, even from the very top of Farnham Park.”
