When In Home Care in Haslemere lost a member of their family, they decided to raise thousands in his memory.
Trevor Gentry was the finance director of In Home Care when he passed away suddenly after suffering a stroke in September 2022.
The In Home Care team raised £2,041.27 for the stroke unit who cared for Trevor, thanks to a Christmas raffle with more than a 100 prizes donated by the shops in Grayshott and Haslemere.
Caroline Barnes, administrator of In Home Care, said: “We owe the shops a big thank you and the general public, carers, clients and office staff who bought many raffle tickets as well.”
Kate Saltrick, head of fundraising at Southampton Hospital said: “Thank you so much to In Home Care for fundraising for our stroke unit at University Hospital Southampton. I know this was because of a personal connection to the unit and we are extremely grateful. I know our colleagues on the stroke unit will be absolutely thrilled.”
